Women’s Aid Luton is committed to providing inclusive, respectful and non‑judgemental support. We support women from all backgrounds and identities, including LGBTQ+ women and trans women.
We recognise that domestic abuse can affect people in different ways, and we are committed to treating everyone who contacts us with dignity and respect. Where specialist support may be more appropriate, we work in partnership with expert organisations to ensure survivors receive the right help.
Working with specialist partners
We recognise that some survivors benefit most from specialist or identity‑specific support. Where appropriate, we work closely with LGBTQ+‑inclusive, trans‑inclusive, and other specialist services to ensure survivors receive safe, informed and appropriate support.
Support for men
Women’s Aid Luton is a specialist service for women and children affected by domestic abuse. We recognise that men can also experience domestic abuse, and we are committed to helping them access appropriate support.
Where we are not the most suitable service, we will actively signpost and refer men to specialist organisations that can best meet their needs.
