Our vision is for all women exposed to gender-based violence and exploitation, and their children, to be safe and have access to appropriate interventions, support and advice in order to live free from fear and harm.
Helpline is integral to achieving this goal.
We understand it can be difficult to pick up the phone. Anyone can phone Helpline for confidential advice and support and refer you to refuge if needed.
Our expert, all-female Helpline team are available Monday to Friday 10am-5pm.
You can also search for information about your rights and options using our online Chat function.

You can ask us any questions you like and we can talk about what you are going through. We will not judge you or tell you what to do. It doesn’t matter whether you are still with the person you want to talk to us about, or whether you have left. You may even have left many years ago. Or maybe you’re not sure whether what you’re experiencing is abuse. Whatever your situation, we are here for you.
Our Helpline team can take you through your rights and options, refer you to specialist services or refuge, and support you to think about your safety and the safety of any children.

Helpline is confidential. We won’t share any information you give us with a third party unless you ask us to. The only exception to this is where there is a serious risk of harm to you or others, or where a child is believed to be at risk of harm, when we may have to share information without your permission.
You will be chatting with one of our expert, female Helpline team members.
Yes. We welcome calls from professionals and can give advice and support relating to domestic abuse. We can also support with referrals to refuge.
Any admission will be subject to a risk assessment and if unsuitable, we would identify suitable alternative refuge provision.
We aim to complete urgent triage within 1 working day and standard assessments within 24 hours where possible.
All referrals are assessed on an individual need/family basis.
