We are proud to share that our Service Manager, Claire, recently appeared on BBC Three Counties Radio to speak about the essential work we do supporting women, children, and families affected by domestic abuse.
As part of a wider discussion featured in a BBC news article focusing on domestic abuse in our region, Claire highlighted the realities survivors face every day, from emotional and psychological abuse to financial control and long‑term trauma. She discussed how our organisation provides refuge accommodation, practical guidance, emotional support, and a confidential helpline to those who need it most.
Claire also spoke about the importance of awareness, early intervention, and ensuring that survivors know they are not alone. Radio platforms such as BBC Three Counties offer an invaluable opportunity to amplify these messages and help our community better understand the support available.
We are grateful to BBC Three Counties Radio for opening up space for these crucial conversations. By raising awareness and challenging misconceptions, we can help create safer communities for women and children across our region.
If you or someone you know needs support, our helpline is available Monday to Friday, 10am–5pm. You deserve to feel safe, heard and supported.
